Amaken is seeking a HSE Engineer – Factory Operations to join our client’s team in Riyadh, KSA. The HSE Engineer – Factory Operations is responsible for ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on creating a safe working environment across joinery, metal fabrication, FRP, painting, and machinery operations, while proactively identifying risks, preventing incidents, and maintaining compliance with Saudi regulations and international HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Compliance & Enforcement

  • Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures within factory operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi HSE regulations, Civil Defense requirements, and international standards (OSHA, NEBOSH).
  • Conduct safety inspections of machinery, workshops, production lines, and storage areas.
  • Enforce PPE usage, machine guarding, electrical safety, chemical handling, and lifting procedures.

Risk Assessment & Control

  • Prepare and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Identify hazards related to manufacturing processes and implement preventive controls.
  • Maintain MSDS documentation and ensure safe chemical storage and handling.

Incident Management

  • Respond to incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations and prepare incident reports.
  • Track and close corrective and preventive actions.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE inductions for factory staff, subcontractors, and visitors.
  • Deliver safety training on fire safety, machinery safety, manual handling, and chemical safety.
  • Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure readiness of emergency exits, alarms, firefighting equipment, and first-aid facilities.
  • Conduct fire drills and emergency simulations.
  • Coordinate with Civil Defense when required.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily HSE logs, inspection records, and reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HSE performance reports.
  • Maintain ISO 45001-compliant documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE Management, or related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory).
  • 4–7 years of HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience in KSA is preferred.
