Overview

Amaken is hiring a Mechanical Line Technician for a Huge Manufacturing Group in Luanda, Angola.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and equipment, including conveyors, fillers, cappers, and labelers.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document equipment maintenance and repair activities accurately and timely.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new production equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Line Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in glass jar production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other automated control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed.
